Richie Havens at the end of his concert tonight.

He said "FIGHT everybody, cause this is our last go-round.That guy in the middle of the east coast wants us to LAY DOWN. Sorry, we don't do that anymore."

He travels all over singing--since '67--and finds people are just the same; just as invigorated and fighting for freedom.
His singing "Freedom" was spectacular. Rolling into it and growling; standing up and waving the guitar.I got a photo but was reprimanded slightly. He's very off-air.

He called children the aliens we've been expecting! but they came from innerspace. And we better listen to them and get to know them. They're here to take over the world and will insist on clean air and power. (and you don't want to know the repercussions they have in mind!)

The radio down played" Love is but a song you sing; fear's the way you die....Come on People now, smile on your brother,Everybody get together try to love one another right now.

Right now, Right nooowww!"

Oh I have that song, I have that old LP, The Youngbloods! How beautiful the vision of utopia then! Well eventually it dissipated but not before we changed the world. and now that that crew in the White House is trying to turn back the clock again, it is up to us to say NO!
