Mmm - the "male-dominance-horny-testosterony-thing" is just as much a stereotype as the "female-monthly-bitchy-menses-thing" - people are what they are trained to be, for the most part - children live by example. Sometimes the example is good, sometimes not so hot. Some folk are deprived of a male influence early on, and end up preferring the company of males. Some are deprived of female influences early on, and bring the feminine back into their lives by dressing that way. Ooh Gum, I'm so glad you dived in on this one, I thought it was gonna be just a hen party. Do you think that this gender identity thing is a result of nurture, you know that old nature vs. nurture, genetic vs. environment question? I remember a study of gay males and they all took some psychological test and it turned out that many gays, though they did not think they were female, yet they identified with the female as being the more familiar of the sexes, and they saw males as the other sex, even though they were males.
