I keep feeling as if our lives are getting ever busier, we are feeling more and more stressed and that there is a reason for that. It's like we are all on treadmills and somebody keeps incrementally increasing the pace and we're all so frantic to keep at it that we don't question why. AND THAT'S THE POINT. No questions wanted from the rabble. My hubby was talking to his brother about our dream of moving to Italy and his brother said, "There's nothing to do there". That's sounds like bliss! But the point is that in Europe, they understand that working is not living and though people may have less money to buy things, they have health care, an education system that works, public transportation, cities on a human scale, a full month vacation (almost a given for most jobs) and a less success driven culture. *sigh* I guess I'm getting old and am dreaming of rest.
