I agree with you about Mooch's offense being pathetic but how would it have helped if he ran a few more plays in a game that was already over? And think about how that offense would be even more pathetic if during one of those additional plays a player like Garcia or Barlow or hearst or Owens would have had a cheap shot layed on them by an angry Skins player looking for payback for the loss and were knocked out for the year(like Fiore already had been earlier and how Winborn and Peterson almost were).Mooch and the Niners had NOTHING to gain but a lot to lose, so for once Mooch made a smart move to kneel down and get off the field healthy before his roster could take any more hits.If he starts running his offense and making out his game plans with equel intelligence then maybe we will look back on that decision as the time that Mooch finally woke up and started to think clearly. It's about time!!! Or possibly you are correct and one of the reasons he made that decision is the same reason that he is a poor coach,he is just too timid and doesn't have that killer instinct. We already know he doesn't have the intelligence of a Walsh or a Shanahan so if you are right and he doesn't have the drive to smash a team when he has the chance(remember Chicago last year?)then he is even worse than I thought.
