Hi everyone -- sorry to have to make this public, but I've received advice recently that I should bring this out into the open in order to protect anyone else who might be thinking of asking for a tape fairy ... what follows is a letter I emailed to CaptAnne last week:

Dear Anne,

I hope that you received my card in good order over the holidays -- I have yet to hear from you regarding the money order I sent to you over a year ago now (for copies of some LFN tapes) despite my numerous attempts at contacting you -- I would like it returned, please. Do you require a copy of the card you sent me in June of 2001, which state that you came across my letter in a sashet in the corner of a room you were clearing in preparation for the delivery of some furniture? You also state that you wanted to know what I wanted re: this and that you'd send me it immediately. I can easily copy it and send it to you if you require reminding of the specifics.

I've had enormous difficulty in contacting you both publically (asking you to contact me via the LFN newsgroup and the Heyn's Hussies board) and privately (multiple emails, of which I have copies and two letters and two phone calls) -- nearly all attempts have come up with silence on your end -- I realize that there is a very good, very sad, reason for it during the fall but I thought that perhaps now might be a good time to try again.

And thanks too for referring to her USAF involvement. I *did* refer to that in my letter to her. She also *did* have several months prior to September in which she could have responded to my emails. I thought, since I've seen her post to the boards since that time, that she's likely checking her email now. And so I doubted that busy-ness was a large factor in our inability to connect via email.

While I was uncomfortable making this public, at least it got her speaking with me again.
