Old is gold, isn’t it? viagra has been treating male erectile dysfunction for a considerable time far outperforming other drugs working against impotency. This first FDA approved pill for erectile dysfunction can be yours with just a click of the mouse. Your way to this drug starts through online. Any one who has used this drug would advise you to proceed for viagra online. If you buy viagra online the drug would be freely delivered to you. Worrying over the cost of viagra? Leave your worries aside for it is cheap viagra, unlike the other costly drugs which are of very little use. Hopefully facts are straightened out by now and you can pick up your way to buy viagra thereby proclaiming a war against impotency.

April 21 marks Roy Dupuis' 42nd birthday.

Happy Birthday to our favorite spy, lumberjack, journalist, explorer, pianist, amnesiac, petty thief, architect, biker, prisoner, golfer, vacuum salesman, photographer, hustler, robber, farmer, gallery owner, cop, cyborg, sailor, flesh-eater, and hockey player.

Whew! That's quite a lot to accomplish in 42 years. I look forward to see *what* this man will do next!

  • LFN Season 3 on DVD -- June 28, 2005! -- Gretchen, 12:18:27 03/17/05 Thu

The day after the "official" (re-)release of LFN Season 2 on DVD, comes word that Warner Brothers plans to release Season 3 on DVD on June 28, 2005.

No word yet on what extra "goodies" will be included. Let's just hope after the fiasco of last year and the pulling of Season 2 DVDs off the market (due to a copyright issue on a song), everything will go smoothly this time.

Season 3 is when I became a regular viewer. I'd caught parts of earlier episodes, but didn't really follow the series. The Season 2 finale "End Game" and its complexity captured my attention, enough so that I made sure to tune in to the premiere of Season 3. But not being very familiar with the characters, I didn't even recognize Michael with his short hair. Is that pitiful, or what?! But I was hooked from then on.

This is one TV series that definitely should be savored on DVD. I'm looking forward to Season 3.

  • LFN Season 2 DVDs scheduled for 3/15/05 release -- Gretchen, 10:18:56 01/06/05 Thu
Finally we know why the Season 2 DVDs were pulled from release last July -- there was an issue with licensing one of the songs. The licensing issue was solved by replacing the song that caused the problem, and now the set is scheduled for March 15th, 2005. Warner Brothers won't say which song it was, but no doubt the fans will be quick to discover that which is new or out-of-place.

Warner Bros hopes to release LFN Season 3 later in the year, but hasn't given a date.

We've followed Michael's advice to "be patient," and finally we may get the payoff.

  • Happy Birthday, Roy Dupuis! -- Gretchen, 16:19:19 04/21/04 Wed

    Can it be another year?

Roy Dupuis celebrates his birthday today, April 21st. Although this birthday isn't a "milestone" like last year, he show no signs of slowing down.

In these past 12-13 months, this busy beaver was either seen in, or filming, the following:

    1. The Last Chapter: The War Continues (TV) (aired March 2003)
    2. Les Invasions Barbares/The Barbarian Invasions (released 2003, and won this year's Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film)
    3. The Invitation to the Images (Roy played a film archivist in a television program celebrating 40 years of "Cinémathčque Québécoise")
    4. Jack Paradise (released February 2004)
    5. Monica la mitraille (released this week, April 2004)
    6. Manners of Dying (not released yet)
    7. Memoires Affectives (not released yet)
    8. United States of Albert (currently filming in Quebec and Mexico)

Whew! I'm tired just reading that list. Truthfully, Roy was only on screen for 4 (memorable) minutes in The Barbarian Invasions, and his role was small as the archivist in Invitation to the Images, between clips of classic Quebec films. But he carries the lead in Jack Paradise, Manners of Dying (filmed in English!), and Memoires Affectives.

After his sabbatical following the end of LFN, Roy has come back full steam. Happy Birthday, Roy! And thanks for the good work.

Season 2 of LFN will be released on July 20, 2004! This is the link to TVShowsOnDVD, which announced it will sell the box set for $99.98: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=1369
(Personally, my vendor of first choice is Amuzeme.com.)

    Here is TVShowsOnDVD's advertisement:

Posted by David Lambert of TVShowsOnDVD.com 4/07/2004

"You're one of us now," Nikita is told. But has she truly abandoned her compassionate nature and become an unquestioning member of the soulless covert organization called Section One? Or has she mastered the group's knack for deceit and cover-up so efficiently that she can beat Section at its own game? The sleek, chic and powerful adventures of the agent code-named Josephine continue in Season Two of the intrigue-filled five-year series that stars Peta Wilson in the title role.

All 22 year-two episodes are here - episodes in which Nikita's life and ultimately the survival of Section itself are on the line. Also included is a special intel portfolio of insider Bonus Features. Stay focused on the mission with this very fatale Femme.

La Femme Nikita - The Complete 2nd Season arrives on July 20, 2004, at a list price of $99.98 for a 6-DVD set that will keep you busy for 982 minutes.

22 episodes are included on this release: "Hard Landing," "Spec Ops," "Third Person," "Approaching Zero," "New Regime," "Mandatory Refusal," "Half-Life," "Darkness Visible," "Open Heart," "First Mission," "Psychic Pilgrim," "Soul Sacrifice," "Not Was," "Double Date," "Fuzzy Logic," "Old Habits," "Inside Out," "Off Profile," "Last Night," "In Between," "Adrian's Garden (Part 1)," and "End Game (Part 2)". Supplements are included, too:

    * Deleted Scenes, with introductions by director John Cassar (example: cancelled scene from "Adrian's Garden")
    * Commentary Tracks (example: "End Game" commentary by Exec. Consultant Joel Surnow and Story Editor Michael Loceff)
    * Gag Reel

An English Dolby 2.0 Stereo soundtrack is supported by subtitles in your choice of English, French, or Spanish. Video is 1.33:1, and this is closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

For all the fans who have voted for this show at TVShowsOnDVD, it must seem like a lot longer than a year difference between this release and the Season 1 release. For anyone, however, who overlooked getting the rookie season during all of that time, Warner will also be selling a La Femme Nikita: The Complete Seasons 1 & 2 double-pack, which should hit stores around the same time. A price on that super set is still to be announced.

  • Great Female Warriors -- Sstar5, 17:18:36 09/26/03 Fri
Le Femme Nikita is a great female warrior in her own right, but there is another I think you guys should know about. I speak of Xena-Warrior Princess which takes place during the time of Greek Gods and Goddesses. Xena is portrayed by Lucy Lawless. Xena had been drawn to the sword in order to protect all that she cared about, but the blade consumed her. Xena soon became known as the Conqueror of Nations and had the world trembling at her feet, that is until she changed. She became a fighter for justice. Xena can be seen battling ruthless warlords, Cyclops', even the Gods themselves. Lucy Lawless has created a character that can match no other. Xena can handle a sword, ride a horse into battle, performs amazing acrobatic stunts, and fights by her wits. She is a great character to watch and learn from. If you have never witnessed the legened for yourself, then you should check out Season 2 on DVD of Xena-Warrior Princess. You can get it at Best Buy, Amazon or from the Xena Official Store:
    http://www.xenahercules.tv/db/xh/xenastore.html?id=ReBcLTmb

The DVD from Best Buy is the best deal monetary wise and also contains a 30 minute interview with Lucy Lawless, plus audio/video commentary from Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor discussing the episodes!
I thought I would share this information with people who appreciate and enjoy this type of character. Enjoy owning the legend for yourself!

  • Rivers Foundation Auction and more.... -- BrownEyes2, 03:33:12 10/14/03 Tue
    Hi ~

I hope you don't mind if I post this here, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up that we will be having an auction at the Rivers Foundation website beginning this Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m EDT. I will post a link when the board is up and we're ready to go. Roy Dupuis has chosen some new Jack Paradise photographs for the auction (that are gorgeous), and we have some other unusual items too. I hope that you will take a look when we open and find something that interests you. The Foundation has so much work ahead and really is in need of the funding.

Also, we taped the October 2 Rivers Foundation press conference at the Biosphčre in its entirety and will have a montage tape produced that will include the press conference and probably at least parts of some of the subsequent interviews that Roy Dupuis did with the press. This tape will be a very limited production, and I am trying to gauge how many we could sell. If you think you might be interested in this, will you please email the Foundation to tell us. The address is:
    admin@rivers-foundation.org.

Lastly, I wanted to add that we are planning another Rivers Foundation Conference in the Montreal area in the spring. It will be a two day event and that's about all that is certain for now. I hope to have the dates soon, and as I have information, I will pass it along.

    Thanks so much,

Kwantel, I want to apologize for deleting your stories. It is okay to post stories here, but the given story needs to be hidden in the reply, with appropriate warnings in the subject line if there is adult content.

Actually, a better match for your stories might be one of the LFN storyboards:

    LFN Storyboard 1
    LFN Storyboard 2

They still get a dedicated and enthusiastic group of readers and writers, many of whom are longtime fans of the show. If you get a look at these boards, you will pick up on the generally accepted format for posting stories, but I'll put the procedure below as well.

  • Fanfic writer Marie has her 2nd novel published! -- Gretchen, 22:07:45 08/10/03 Sun
Congratulations to Marie! Her second novel, “See You In My Dreams” has been published by Wings-Press.com.

Many of you know Marie (aka Marie/Mnreign) from her LFN fanfiction. Her first novel, “Love On The Run,” (2002) was based upon one of her fanfic stories. Of course, she changed the names and expanded the storyline to reach a more general audience. Marie dedicated the book to Roy Dupuis and his portrayal of Michael, for inspiring her to write about tragic heroes.

This month, “See You In My Dreams” (2003) is being featured by e-publisher Wings-Press.com in its August releases. This story was also inspired by LFN, although it’s more of an Alternate Universe story. What would have happened if Nikita didn’t meet a killer in that alley, but a modeling agent? Would she become a supermodel instead of a superspy? The heroine is a tall blonde named Nikki, and the hero is Maxim, a Frenchman with green eyes and wavy chestnut hair. Marie describes the plot on the publisher’s website:

“ ‘See You in My Dreams’ is a paranormal, romantic suspense story. My hero and heroine have met in previous lives, and the outcomes have been tragic. They have another chance in contemporary New York City to get it right. She’s sixteen-year-old runaway and he’s the head of an international modeling agency. He rescues Nikki and takes her home to his mother, who completes the transformation from street kid to supermodel. But danger lurks for Nikki when a stalker decides that she’s the woman of his dreams.”

"See You In My Dreams" is available at www.www.wings-press.com in downloadable format (PDF, HTML, and Microsoft Reader), and in the more traditional trade paperback format. The books are listed alphabetically by author. Scroll down to Marie-Nicole Ryan.

Happy Birthday to Roy Dupuis! He turned 40 years old on Monday, April 21.

The man doesn't get older -- he gets BETTER! How can that be possible?? His hair has always been a combination of different shades, but now I see a little touch of gray in the temples. I just love that in a guy. And yet, his character of Alexis in Seraphin: Un Homme et Son Peche, while older, did not seem too old for Donalda. (In reality, there was a 20-year age difference between the two actors.)

Truly, Roy Dupuis is a man for all time, for all ages. Heck, just look at us fans!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROY!

  • Finally! LFN to be released on DVD -- Gretchen, 11:22:14 03/24/03 Mon
I found this on two other LFN-related message boards: can it really be true? DVDs with all the goodies? They said to spread the word, so here is a copy of the post:

"This came from www.TVShowsOnDVD.com, regarding the release of La Femme Nikita (the series), Season One:

The following information was found on the Warner Bros Press site.

    La Femme Nikita Season One
    Release Date: 7/08/2003

All 22 episodes from the first season of the cult hit that inspired a genre are now available in a deluxe edition DVD collector's set loaded with special features. A beautiful young woman, falsely accused of a vicious crime is sentenced to a life in prison. In exchange for her freedom, she is forced to join "Section One"; the most covert of all anti-terrorist organizations...with them she is trained to be a seductive spy and lethal assassin.

    Packaging Type: Slipcase
    Run Time: 989 mins
    MSRP: $99.98
    Closed Captioning: Yes
    Subtitles: English, French, Spanish
Sound Quality: Dolby Surround Stereo "

Apparently if you've registered with Amazon.com, you will be notified when advance orders will be taken. (I've emailed and registered my interest so many times at so many places, I can't remember now if Amazon.com was one of them!)

Thanks to the hard work of First Team and others, and our never-say-die attitude, it looks like the dream of having LFN available -- on a permanent medium (unlike videotape); the entire season packaged together (unlike the piecemeal tapes from Columbia House); AND with the extras so common to DVD releases -- may finally come true.

I'd nearly given up hope. But I guess if Michael can whisper, "I love you," to Nikita, then anything is possible!

    -- Gretchen

I just got my order for Nikita Season one on DVD. I saw an auction on ebay for Nikita DVDs for Season 1 but when I won the item ebay stated that the auction was voided because it's illegal to sell items of that nature because Warner Brothers is not making any money...Anyway the seller contacted my and asked if I was still interested. At first I was a bit skeptical but I checked the sellers feedback and found him to be in good standing. So I sent my paypal payment of 39.95US and I got two DVDs of the first season a few days later. The quality on a scale of 1 to 10 is about a 7.5. The creator of the DVD even designed a nice menu with decriptions of each episode and the theme song as background music. For 39.95 I could not be happier. I just sent another payment for season 2 which he finished over the Xmas holiday. His email is: bjm@skullcave.com
Contact him and order your copy. 11 episodes on one DVD. I've been going through Nikita withdrawls but not anymore.

Our local newspaper in Ohio has a section on 'Hollywood people' and I found Peta was mentioned on Tues.

The little blip is about Russell Crowe being engaged and has angered his fiancee by "inviting a slew of sexy exes to their engagement New Year's Eve bash tonight." His guest list includes "old flames like Meg Ryan, Sharon Stone, Peta Wilson and Nicole Kidman."

According to the article, there have been a lot of loud arguements over the guests. (Maybe she's a little insecure?)

Anyhoo, I was snickering because the only thing I remember seeing on Crowe and Peta previously was that they danced (I think?) and that she kissed him. That constitutes being called an "old flame"?? LoL!

Its hard to believe its been a year since 9/11/01. I used to just follow a show about an organization fighting the terrorists no one else could. On September 11, 2001, the terrorists weren't on a Sunday night @ 10:00 pm but 8:56 am live on the morning news on a Tuesday morning.

Before 9/11/01 travelers would innocently go about their lives, conducting their business, visiting friends and families. Now when you travel you have to think about those innocent people who lost their lives on supposedly routine flights on 4 airplanes that took off on 9/11/01

And of all the people who lost their lives in the WTC. And of all those firefighters, policemen and rescuers who lost their lives. And all of the lives lost in the Pentagon. I will never forget 9/11/01

I followed a show about terrorists for 5 years. Then one year ago tomorrow, the terrorism was brought live to me.

Everyone be safe tomorrow. Light a candle. Say a prayer. Tell someone you love them.

Tell terrorism they've come to the wrong country. We don't fight with guns. We love one another.

I just think it stinks. When I think of the crappy programming USA Network has inflicted on us, it absolutely kills me that they couldn't continue to broadcast the reruns. It sounds like the usual doubletalk they used to dish out when we were campaigning. What the f*&K does it mean, they don't own the rights to the show anymore? So who does? And what the f&&K are they going to do with them? Lock them away in the rerun vault somewhere? Will they ever be rebroadcast?

While I do believe it was only a matter of time before the show was totally phased out since they chose to bury the reruns on @ 4:00 am in the morning on Sunday, I still think they just treated the show shabbily considering it was the highest rated Cable program in its primetime run.

I still love the show and always will. I don't often jump on the board like I used to back when we did have a new episode to look forward to. But I still lurk occasionally and post. I just have had way too many issues in RL to devote to the board like I did in the past. When I think back to all the crazy posting I used to do, I just made the time to chat with you guys because I wanted to read what everyone had to say about the latest episode. Now it seems like everybody connected with the show has scattered, we hear only sporadic news about what they're in and we don't have the reruns to tune in to. It makes me mad but what can we do?

I've had a hard time accepting that the show isn't airing anywhere. This makes me mad.

We can't get WB to bring us out some DVDs, they're so busy with their Buffy crowd. Sure the Buffy crowd has a lot of disposable income but the La Femme Nikita fans always delivered to the star's charities (and still do) and traveled to Toronto on four occasions to visit with the stars and interact with each other. The WB just threw these fans away and swept them under the rug.

I don't watch anything the WB does or USA Network. And I don't watch "24" the new Joel S show because he didn't have all of this brilliance when he was over LFN. Now he's doing something more mainstream and that's the very reason why I don't follow it. I don't do mainstream television. "24" seems to have hit the right chord with Emmy so now he's got awards out to the wazoo with that show. I still think deep down they resented the fact that the star they wanted to breakout of La Femme Nikita didn't and they're still mad at us. They're treating us like silly women who were drooling over RD and therefore we didn't have any clout in the entertainment market.

I'm sorry if I sound bitter but that's the way I feel. I don't rush home to watch anything television has to offer unless its on the Food Network, A & E or to watch a tennis match. Old movies are an interest of mine as well. If its in B/W I'm there with my popcorn.

I'm also an African-American and I am currently collecting the movies with an African-American cast that treated African-American's like they HAD A BRAIN and are not of the Martin, Fresh Prince ilk. Not that those shows weren't ok, but African American's do have a serious side. The Cosby show was the only comedic show that I felt dealt intelligently with a slice of the African-American experience. The African-American dramas (and support characters in dramas) are few and far between.

Not that I limit myself to shows with that theme. I consider myself to be open to all new programming since I've worked in a teaching/learning environment most of my life (I have worked for a university for most of my life and have been exposed to people from all walks of life). That's why I followed La Femme Nikita. It was different from anything else on television and unfortunately I haven't seen anything lately or since that even comes close.

La Femme Nikita was just a special television experience that I'm sure just won't get duplicated in my life.

Thanks for letting me vent. I just had to get that off my chest.

And again, thanks Susan for keeping the fans together

  • LFN reruns on USA this fall -- Erin Goeller, 15:17:08 09/02/02 Mon
I was wondering if USA Network is still going to air the reruns of "La Femme Nikita." The reason I am asking is because I went to the September schedule for La Femme Nikita, and it only had listed one episode coming up on September 7, which is "There are No Missions." I just wanted to see if anyone knew what was going on.

  • a few defferent thing -- Trish, 11:12:33 08/29/02 Thu
Some body may have reported these elswhere. I found a couple of references to RD in the Montreal Gazette from a column by Gaetan Charlebois who is identified as a gossip columunist. From March 24 ' Quoted: Theatre director Brigitte Haentjens on Roy Dupuis, "When he walks into a room, people start stuttering." ' From June 24 "Standing O: To Roy Dupuis, a supporter of the Mira Foundation, the working-dog organization. For seven years he has been participating in Mira's car race in Granby, in which a blind person is at the wheel and a celeb serves as passenger-guide (wrecks are de rigueur and part of the fun). A participant told Chaud Show that Dupuis is not there to get his revoltingly handsome mug in the papers, he's a dedicated, low-profile (!) year-long supporter. " from Aug. 4 "Standing O: To Roy Dupuis, who is on the verge of canonization. He is front and centre in the campaign to save Quebec's rivers, which are threatened by new dam projects, and preparing a documentary on the subject. " there is also an English language webpage for at Un homme at son peche at Telefilm Canada http://www.telefilm.gc.ca/data/production/prod_840.asp?c=1
(There is a French language one for the adventurous as well.) I read a copy of the book in translation. (interlibrary loan) The movies is apparently based on the radio/tv serialization, because the synopsis of the plot only vaguely resembles the book in the character of the miser only. The book is very short and, to me, very depressing, the poetry of it must be lost in translation.

    Margot Kidder Recovers From Accident

    By The Associated Press
BROOKS, Maine (AP)--Margot Kidder is recuperating from a broken pelvis she suffered in a weekend highway accident.

The 53-year-old actress, who played Lois Lane in the ``Superman´´ movies of the late 1970s and early '80s, was injured Sunday when her GMC Yukon hit a raised pavement and rolled over several times.
Kidder, who lives in Livingston, Mont., had been in Belfast to host the 15-Minute Festival, a series of original plays staged at the National Theatre Workshop of the Handicapped. She was on her way to Montreal when the accident happened.

Kidder's friend, David Stuckey, said Monday that the actress won't require surgery but will remain for several days at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast.

Stuckey said Kidder was in a lot of pain. ``But she´s in good spirits,´´ he said. ``She´s OK.´´

  • Brunette Peta in Czech Republic with Baby! (r) -- CJ, 19:50:34 08/20/02 Tue
Thanks to Calisto for posting on the Alberta Watson MB (www.albertawatson.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi)a link to the cover of a Czech magazine with photos of Peta on the set of her new movie, and for posting a translation of the magazine's article on her.

    http://web.elsatnet.cz/panek/web/obr/peta_dressed/Peta_Spy.jpg

    Translation of the article:
The actress, who plays La femme Nikita, Peta Wilson, is chased by journalists all around the world with one question. Who is father of your son. Peta decided to cover herself in Prague. But she couldn´t imagine there is one magazine for which is nothing secret - Spy! Our wonderful photographers took photos of Peta with her son Marlow. So you can see Peta´s son and you can tip who could be his father - Russell Crowe or Peta´s long year boyfriend and director Damian Harris? Peta´s mother Karlene and her mother´s lover are now helping Peta with education of Peta´s son.

    Words on the cover photos:
    prd means fart
    kak means poo -poo
and ratata bum - I don´t know how translate this - it is sound like zang or bump or something like that
