Did anyone else notice? (r) -- KT, 01:16:25 03/07/02 Thu
They are using names of characters from LFN episodes in 24. I counted at least four... Draysen, Jovan Mihevich, M. Suba, Ferragamo... gives me a chuckle, ^!^

I missed a couple of those! Makes me feel like they're loyal to their LFN fans : ) And what do you think about the Mikey-like second shooter??? -- PJ, 12:47:40 03/08/02 Fri

PJ, I have to say (r) -- KT, 13:12:10 03/08/02 Fri
that the second shooter was HOT... and he DID sizzle in the sexy part, but did he affect me like RD did as Michael? I would have to say that anyone who tries to duplicate that role would not come close to Roy Dupuis.
No offense intended to the actor or the show! BUT, How could anyone ever have the style and grace and sheer presence that Roy brought to us as Michael? There is only ONE Roy (Thank God). JMHO ;=)
Best, KT ^!^

I missed one of your references, but you forgot to mention....(inside) -- Gretchen, 08:30:29 03/07/02 Thu
Wasn't the FBI guy who interrogated Jack Bauer named....ROY? Now we have a Roy and an Alberta! I missed the Suba name though. Good catch, KT! The Balkan names kinda flew by me too fast. This is like a "who's who" for LFN fans -- can you spot the reference?

The computer guys computer login? When told to give it to someone else, what does he say? "LFN" Joel Surnow is having fun with us...all those names and now this. I wonder what is next?

I came to post about the same thing!!! Also... -- SCC, 23:12:01 03/12/02 Tue
In a much earlier ep, there was a radio traffic report while a helicopter was circling somewhere, and the name of the reporter was Dave Thompson. He was one of the editors for LFN. I think I already posted that one.
Great catches on the other stuff. Cool-o!
The music tonight really reminded me of LFN. I kept having these poignant moments when I felt like I was "home" again... and then I realized that they were just a few familiar sounds or notes. Like a breeze wafting in the window...
Anyway, I haven't been able to post in a long time. It's great to see you all! :-)

Jaron and SCC - ditto!! (r) -- KT, 18:58:45 03/13/02 Wed
When the guy said his code word was LFN I just lost it.
And the music, I noticed that as well (as a musician will *G*), and it really did have that familiar ambience. Of course with the same composers there are bound to be similarities, but this music is just different enough with the signature of Callery and Johnson fairly blatant. They do such nice stuff!
Gives me a warm feeling to know that they have not forgotten their loyal fans out here. NOT TO MENTION that the show is TOTALLY excellent.
hugs, KT ^!^

Oh, YES...I almost passed out when I heard Milo's login is LFN...and the music was excellent! The ep really had the feel of LFN. Back to Milo, the Foothills reference is to the college in CA that JS (I believe) teaches computer classes. -- PJ, 08:51:01 03/15/02 Fri

I think its Michael Loceff that teaches computer classes...he's the computer guy of the writing team. :) -- Schnee, 07:50:28 03/20/02 Wed

Re 2nd shooter and writing (r) -- KT, 19:03:10 03/13/02 Wed
He is very handsome and a bit too grubby for me compared to Roy, and also he smiles a whole lots more, which is good, as it separates his personality from being compared to Michael's character too much. Very different. I'm sure he will figure heavily into the plot as the main villain has been revealed to be his brother.
I think the writing is positively inspired for this show. And the actors and the split screen filming is very dynamic.
