"Actor Roy Dupuis will be back as biker Ross Desbiens when the miniseries The Last Chapter/Le Dernier Chapitre returns to the airwaves next year.

Producer Claudio Luca confirmed yesterday that Dupuis, one of Quebec's most bankable actors, will return for the second instalment of the bilingual miniseries, which aired in English on CBC-TV and in French on Radio-Canada this spring. The six-hour TV series about a fictitious biker war ended with Dupuis's character being mowed down by agents of ally-turned-enemy Bob Durelle, played by Michael Ironsides.

But there were no shots of Desbiens's body in the final episode. Since actor Ironsides has already been confirmed for TLC 2, the scene is set for a final confrontation between Durelle and Desbiens.

TLC 2 will be filmed this summer in Montreal and Toronto. Like the original, it will be shot simultaneously in both official languages, with actors shooting a scene in one language, then switching to the other and reshooting the same scene. There are six parts planned, as there were for the original.

The Last Chapter 2 is scheduled for broadcast on CBC and Radio-Canada in winter 2003. "
