Subject: Message from Peta Wilson

Susan Hargrove's Peta Wilson On-Line newsletter contains a lovely message from Peta Wilson that Susan received from her. I don't know how many of you get the newsletter so I'll post the message here.

"My condolences if you knew someone in the WTC...it's so sad that,
that happened and the world is in such a combative state. I really
hope that this is dealt with in the most peaceful manner, and such
barbaric acts of terrorism are a thing of the past, our world
becoming a place of peace with all people respecting themselves and
each other, and making an effort to understand the beliefs and ways
of the different cultures. I believe that all cultures have
something Good within them to offer humankind. I believe that fear of
the unknown and ignorance prevent the majority from drawing from the
deep well of knowledge that civilization has to offer....When I see
the news, read the newspaper it saddens me to see such
HATE...negativity, distrust, hurt, just some of the ingredients of
war. I ask myself, what can I do? Or a bigger question, What would
God do? With some quiet reflection, for me the answer was to be the
best I could be, to be a compassionate human being filled with loving
kindness, have a strong faith in creation and an unshakeable belief
in the things we can't necessarily see...To remember that something
Divine is taking care of us, whether we are aware of it or not and
TRUST that...I think we can make a difference individually, by the
simplest of actions: the way we THINK! What we think, we create...I
believe that a THOUGHT is matter and becomes our reality....so we
therefore have the power to create the world we want..I want a world
full of joy, a heavenly place....what if this is it? What if there
is nothing beyond for us all...and this world is HEAVEN or HELL..and
it's merely our thinking that keeps us in a state of one or the
other...I live my life thinking about that...Anyway enough, my
thoughts and prayers are with all my family on EARTH these days....I
read once that when one is close to a strong enlightenment It can
sometimes be very dark first, I would like to believe that that is
happening to human consciousness world wide."

[> Thanks, Zzoo. It's nice to hear from Peta--if she's still in Australia, I bet that she's glad that she's there! I admit that I was sharing some of her musings when I heard Neil Young sing a lovely rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine" on the telethon. -- Susan W, 21:17:02 09/23/01 Sun
