If you haven't updated your virus files, please do so. This little sucker is on the loose and my virus program (Trend PC-Cillan) is so busy quarantining everything that comes into my email that my email is effectively shut down. So far Trend's "fix tool" doesn't seem to be fixing it either. I've emailed them, but if their virus protection quarantines an infected email, they may never receive it, LOL. I'm starting to consider the old "format c/s" command. Sure wish I had copies of this ton of programs and graphics on my hard drive somewhere safe -- I'd do it.

If you don't have an active virus protection program I'm not sure you'd know you were infected -- it would just pass it along to everyone in your email directory. At least, I think that's how it works. -- Zzoo, 21:49:14 09/28/01 Fri

[> Jeepers...just went over to Trend and ran the scan and I'm okay so far. We really need to get an up-to-date anti-virus program. Then I came across a MB where they posted about a virus you can get from simply viewing an infected web site. Is this really possible? What do you think is a really good anti-virus program? -- PJ, 22:03:06 09/28/01 Fri

My AV program was catching and quarantining the virus OK as it turns out. Glad I had a current pattern.
I just received a message from my ISP that my mailbox was over quota. It can't be since I just cleared it. It was showing a spam message with attachment that was replicating in my mailbox. They have cleared it and will block that ISP from sending to my server so hopefully the Trojan has been killed off. Don't these idiots have anything better to do with their time?

PJ, I think PC-Cillin, Norton, McAfree are all pretty good AV programs. Just be sure to update your patterns frequently.
