Subject: MIRA Dream to Become A Reality Soon!

Pierre Noiseux and Simon Melrose have had a wonderful "dream" for quite a long time. They, along with many supporters, "dream" of the day when MIRA guidedogs will be placed with receipients in the United States. That "dream" will become a reality soon!

Recently, a guide dog trainer and instructor in North Carolina was trying to place a dog with one of his students. She is only 16 years old, which is younger than the normal placement age of 18 or older for US organizations. He decided to surf the internet and came upon MIRA's website. The instructor found that MIRA guide dogs are placed with clients as young as 11 years old. This amazed him, as did MIRA's philosophy of breeding and training.

Since his initial encounter with MIRA on their website, the instructor has journeyed to Quebec, visited the facilities, observed training sessions and discussed philosophies in detail. The appropriate application has been submitted for his 16 year old student.

The MIRA "dream" will become a reality in the not too distant future.

Your support of MIRA is greatly appreciated,
Joyce

Joyce, hoping all is well with you. Thanks for keeping us posted about Mira. Ever since the auction, and the campaign last year, I have kept Mira on my list of worthwhile charities to donate to, and want to continue to support it. Not to mention, getting an RD reward every now and then adds to the incentive.

Thanks to Roy for bringing this cause to our attention. Many have benefitted from his and your ongoing efforts.

Kudos, and hugs, KT ^!^

[> You know, Joyce, I saw a blind man on the "Larry King" show, and he was talking about how his guide dog helped him to get down from fairly high up in one of the WTC towers. I thought that it was such an inspiring story about the way that a guide dog can make such a difference in someone's life. -- Susan W, 22:32:10 10/14/01 Sun
