Its a question of perspective. I walk around filled with an eternal sadness that we all cant just put aside past hates and blames, and accept that its in our nature to make mistakes. We cant build future things on sand. When emotions slide all that we will have acheived will just bleed away. We are all threads on the same web. Anybody who knows me will know that I say that often but I cant say it enough. Theres to much colour in this life to restrict ourselves to black and white. I look at people. We all feel, we all bleed, and we are all capable of the same things. Instead of taking what they say personally try and see the feelings beneath. There are always reasons. Maybe its ignorance. When you see that we are all capable of the same things, you will see that really where it matters we aren't so different. Instead of wasting time on arguing to get the point across, simply cut short the conversation before it starts. Something as simple as saying. I RESPECT YOUR RIGHT TO SPEAK YOUR MIND BUT WILL YOU RESPECT MINE.IF WE CANT AGREE ON THIS THEN MAYBE THERE ARE OTHER THINGS WE WILL.
And if there isnt, well maybe theyre people that have been sent to teach you a lesson. Ignorance and hate are the things that shape all the bad things in the world.
So sister, keep your life light and you will shine. Let it slide off your back like a duck to water. You don't need to listen to it. Therefor it is not important. All apples on the tree cant be sweet. Maybe all people wont listen, maybe not even some, but by the few that do, you are already making a difference. Even the plainest pebbles in the pond can cause ripples where they were none. As long as you are true to yourself and your god, then you are being true. Nobody can ask for more than that
