Subject: Had a great time racing

Had a great time racing yesterday! Would like to thank everyone who put the race on and letting us compete. I know there was alot of people who didn't like us running our car. Sorry to have started any commotion, however, as you guys review the rules for next year, I would hope our car will be allowed to run.

[> well at 1st I was upset that a roadster was allowed to run in a door slammer class but after I have thought about it. It's no big deal to me as long as they dont start allowing all the raodsters in but the ones that look like a car such as yours and Rocky's I dont really have a problem with. I do know one thing you are one drivin SOB. Go back to super gas Please LOL -- slaw ass no light cuttin racer, 20:06:09 11/17/02 Sun [1]

[> Well, since its started I will post my 2 cents. First off, THIS IS NOT PERSONAL, just has to do with car. It is true that the car can carry legal weight and is for the most part same as everybody else, however the roadster has less frontal area, thus the drag coefficient is less. I know this is probably minimal, but it is one more piece to the overall equation of fast. Also, I believe delay boxes are an advantage ( only for those who have a car that will go red). -- Jeff Owen, 06:14:44 11/18/02 Mon [1]

Sorry but your're wrong dude. Our car is not a narrowed version of the vette. It is the exact same size and width of a stock corvette. It is not the 5/8 scale you often see in the dragster!!

Sorry, but your're wrong dude. Our car is not a narrowed version of the vette. It is the exact same size and width of a stock corvette. We have no aerodynamic advantages over any of the newer cars ou there. Corvettes are very wide. In fact, the roll cage hanging in the wind is very poor aerodynamically. It is not the 5/8 scale you often see in the dragster!! I have no advantages over anyone else.

[> [> [> Jonathon, nobody is saying your car is not a full size corvette. Wha we are saying is you are not pushing a windshield and roof through the traps. I dont mind if you run with us but I do think the roadster body should carry some kind of weight penalty. As far as the 27's go just put a year cap on it like 49 and later body styles only. -- jeff benham, 12:32:42 11/18/02 Mon [1]
