Don't forget, dearheart, that your path is your own to find and follow...there are no rules save the one rule, "and you harm none, do as you will".

You should explore any theories and theologies that interest you....but you need not embrace anyone else's view or belief....ever.

I got very hung up on the whole after-life/past lives thing when I was a newbie. I think it really distracted me from things that better deserved my focus. But for myself, I concluded that there was no set pattern that a soul took on its journey. Some people may not reincarnate. Some may do it right away after death...some may take time between incarnations. The basic concept is that we determine what we need to reach spiritual maturity and growth. There is much common thought that soulmates include family members and friends (even enemies) as well as the commonly held notion of soulmates being lovers. If a person keeps running into the same types of senarios in life that even though they are different people they are the same issue or life-lesson...then it also follows that if one believes in reincarnation that one would continue to have to address issues and life-lessons not previous learned.

I know this is a sensitive subject...but that is the big reason I believe that suicide doesn't work. I think that whether the person reincarnates or not that one way or another they will have to continue to face the same issues and life-lessons and that they are not escaping them but merely entering another life-phase (whether in or out of a body) in which they will still have to deal and grow and learn and mature. I also came to believe that angry and evil spirits were those who passed on who have refused to deal with or own their "stuff" and are just playing out their same nastiness that they did in life. I also came to believe that some spirits remain spirits and don't reincarnate, but live in spirit to fulfill their purposes.

The important thing is to follow your own heart and make up your own mind. However, there is no urgency or time frame in which one needs to do so!

hugs,
Dreemy
