I have been and remain extremely proud of Plus Signs...it was truly a work of personal passion...I wrote all the songs except for Take One Away in a matter of about two weeks, and then financed, produced, arranged the entire thing under my own steam, without having a record deal to back it...I still very much like Free, Bridge In Time, Permissible To Cry, and I'd Love to Talk...somedays i don't even mind The Workaday...many people say they think it should have been bigger, but i'm personally thrilled just to have it on cd, becayse it was never a work of compromise...there is very little i would change about the album, so it will remain a favourite point of my career for some time to come

Thank you for being so interested...it touches me.

I've got a question. On Plus Signs, which I love, the song I'd Love to Talk has always sounded to me like you were trying to sound somewhat like David Bowie. I've even fooled a couple of people by telling them it was Bowie, playing it and then revealing the true artist. Was this at least a partial intent?

Burton,

Have you thought about using the internet to post a few songs or an "album" rather than having to deal with the record companies. It seems to be quite a trend and a great way to bypass the droids at the record companies trying to find the next Britny Spears? You could even make it interactive in sorts by getting a little feedback (if you cared to).

Tom

BC, Yes I agree that it is a great album and I am lucky to have a limited edition vinyl (bought in Canada) at home here in Australia.
I love that album and as a loyal and devoted fan of you and gw for over 30 years hope you keep going for the next 30 into the new century. Hope to see you in Sydney on tour.
Hope you received my letter thru Nancy S at your Nashville
gig.

Keep up the GREAT work and hope to hear some unreleased stuff on a cd set soon

Ken
