well, I think most of us would rather see a cd of *New Music*, which is why some of the die-hards seem to react to the Christmas cd idea with AUUGHHHHHH no new music in 10 years never mind the christmas music aughhhhhhhhh! Give us some of that stuff that's been sitting in his vaults for 20 years!"

WHY? WHY? WHY? (Burton, didn't your mother ever tell you "never to say never"?) After reading AW's post yesterday, I left my computer with a lump in my throat (No, it wasn't coal) wondering HOW he could mean that. Here is my plea (this is meant to be lighthearted, but I DO mean it): "Burton, by not producing any Christmas music you are bankrupting our 'Santa souls' and putting coal in our 'musical stockings' for the rest of our music lovin' lives! This is BIGTIME BAD! Please, please, pleeeeease reconsider. Even a 'for the fans south of the border who usually get the axe' Christmas medley would be fantastic. Set a precedent; give us some holiday music (here I am not joking) sang by the best voice of all time. I would have the best Christmas ever if all I got was a 'Burton Cummings--Christmas On the Prairies' cd. Besides, you'd look asolutely great on the cover in a Santa hat. Your mom would be prouder than ever and your fans would love you even more--(as if either of those things are possible!). So please give it some thought." Can anyone improve on that? If so, lets hear it.---We all know Christmas would be a better place with BC in it.
