These Eyes. My earliest memory is hearing that song on the bus on the way to school. I fell in love- that voice just haunted me. 31 years later,it still does.

For me, it was "Laughing...." yes! I loved the line, "You took away everything I had, you put the lid on, mee-eee--eeee." Also, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature. I didn't know what it was about but I had this feeling it involved, among other things, sex.....(big stuff for a 13-year old to think about! Back then anyway).

It would have been 1973 or 1974. I was in 7th grade and we were doing a unit on poetry and popular music in our Engish class. We were assigned small groups of 3 students each, and we had to find a song which told a story. Gwen, the girl in my group, had an older sister who was into the Guess Who and she suggested we do No Sugar Tonight. That was my first exposure to the Guess Who but I didn't really get hooked until the fall of 1976 when I won two free tickets to BC's first solo tour. It was the first concert I ever attended and I didn't even make the BC-GW connection until he did his medley of GW hits that night. Then the penny dropped and the rest, as they say, is history.

You see, Burton had this annoying habit of putting out a heartbreaker right when I was breaking up with someone (or they me). He did it again with laughing. Of course I'll bet I'm not alone here. LL.
