Alex’s head spun quickly towards Orbital at this, but Orbital was no longer looking at Alex. His eyes were focused farther off, towards the Maximal painter. Alex wondered what he meant by that. Denarius had told spoken only of political dealings, media dealings, the good of Cybertron. He had mentioned nothing about battles. Alex was quickly becoming more and more confused.

By the time Prowl joined the Council, only a couple days after I had joined myself, the Vehicon and Technorganic citizens began to speak out about their respective factions, practically demanding that they be represented. Of course, the Senate jumped for it. NOVA and Veridian were assigned at the same time to the Council. Veridian...I can’t really tell you much about him. He’s pretty much a mystery to the rest of us. He’s basically a good man, really. Never had many problems out of him until recently. We have no idea why he, off all the Vehicons, was assigned to the Council, but we’ve never questioned it. He follows orders the same as the rest of us.

NOVA, however, I can tell you about. Well, really it’s ImperialNOVA, but it is easier to just say NOVA. She lost her spark the same as the rest of Cybertron to Megatron a few years ago. Much like Nightscream, she had fallen down in the tunnels running underneath the planet’s surface. She was reformatted as well, with the beast form of a falcon. Unlike Nightscream, however, she was found by the Vehicon army before she could meet Primal and the others. Megatron had her spark too.

When she awoke with the rest of the planet, her falcon form had taken on the same qualities as Primal’s had. She was Technorganic, with a Beast Mode. One of surprisingly few Maximals and Predacons on-world who had beast modes. With the attention and reverence towards Primal and the other Maximals who defeated Megatron, she and the others caught some of that same light, and were seen as a new age of Transformer. We think the Senate chose her to represent the Technorganics because at first she seems easily controllable, which is no doubt a very desirable quality for the Senate. However, she has proven several times over that she’s not exactly...a lightweight. Don’t underestimate her. She’s amazingly adept at taking care of herself.

Windshear followed NOVA and Veridian into the Council. He also seems easily controllable at first, and doesn’t seem to be a brilliant being at first glance. His speech pattern is...different. I’ll let you meet him before I say anything more about that. He hasn’t really done much either to ensure himself a spot on the Council. He’s pretty much been a grunt his whole life, serving on military vessel after military vessel. Always taking orders from one captain or another. He seems happy serving people, though. Perceptor loves having him around. We all kind of like Windshear, even if he can be a bit of a droll at times.

Orbital took a deep breath. A Technorganic Squirrel had joined the Maximal painter, sitting off to the side and silently watching him paint. Orbital and Alex did likewise for a few moments, Alex stealing a glance at Orbital occasionally to see if the enigmatic Transformer would resume his speech. Eventually, he did.

I guess, save for you, that leaves Spectre. He was a pleasant surprise for the Council, especially Prowl. Spectre is a Predacon, and had escaped from the same ship on the same shuttle that Prowl had.

Alex grinned. So, Spectre and Prowl are already familiar with each other? Two crewmates wound up on the Council together? That’s pretty amazing.
