Orbital glanced at Alex questionably, but continued. Well, regardless. Perceptor is an old Autobot. Very old, actually. He has been online since long before the days of the Great Wars. He, along with many others, fought alongside Optimus Prime himself during those days. He was a personal friend of some of the greatest heroes to ever walk the face of Cybertron. Since then, he’s become quite the hero himself. Quite a while back, Perceptor invented the Protoform technology that created the Maximals and Predacons you see all around. Were it not for him and The Great Upgrade, heroes like Primal and Chancellor Chi would never have come about. He has been criticized for the fact he never used his technology on himself. He’s still an Autobot, although he has been upgraded to a newer form.

You will find Perceptor to be a bit...brash at first. Old age, and watching almost all of his friends die throughout the years, has taken its toll on him. He’s hardened. His speech pattern has since lightened, and he talks in a much more layman way than he used to. That does make it easier to understand him, which you’ll find is a blessing. Anyway, it’s his mind and past that made him the first Councilor assigned. When the Senate first developed the idea, Perceptor was in from the get-go. He and his work have been in the public spotlight for quite some time, and the public has seen him as a hero long before the Council.

I was the second to be assigned to the Council, following almost immediately after Perceptor. Whichever Senator that found me long ago is the one that I assume is responsible for my current title. Regardless, the public instantly took to a hero from the future. A ‘star overnight‘, you could say. My attitude no doubt helped. I tend to be...well, quite frankly, I can be a bit of an over-arrogant ass at times. Quite pompous. Heh.
Orbital chuckled to himself.

It’s okay. I’ve dealt with much more than pompous asses in my time.

The two shared a laugh for a moment before falling back into silence once again. Several feet away, a young Maximal sat at an easel, painting one of the large, Technorganic trees that made the park such a pleasant atmosphere. Orbital sighed lightly, and leaned back on the bench. Alex took the time to notice that while most non-animal Transformers were very large in size, save the Vehicons, Orbital was very close to Human size. He was very small, very diminutive, perhaps only a head taller than Alex himself, who was himself shorter than most humans. Alex was startled by the sudden sound of Orbital’s voice.

Prowl. Everyone gets along with Prowl. He was the third Councilor, and for good reason. Prowl hasn’t made much of a name for himself over the years. He served on board a science vessel for a while as it’s tactical and security officer. Three years he served on that ship. And he was one of the only ones to leave it alive, too. He piloted the only shuttle to escape. A real shame. Orbital shook his head.

What happened to the others?

Killed. By a creature that somehow got onboard. The how's and why’s aren’t known. It just...showed up. First on the Bridge, and, working its way through, killed everyone. It even damaged Prowl’s escape shuttle before they left the ship’s docking bay. The ship was carrying some scientific materials of alien origin.

When they crashed on a small planet nearby, everyone on board was damaged. They, much like Primal and the crew of the Avalon, were forced to take new, beast modes to survive. When the scanners picked up the beast modes, however, the alien materials interfered. Prowl, along with the rest of that crew, are what are referred to as ‘Transmetal 2’s. Meaning they don’t have alternate, third transformation vehicle modes like normal Transmetal Maximals and Predacons. Instead, their beast and robot modes are much more intertwined, both mentally and physically. In beast mode, you can see much of the robotics from his robot mode, and in robot mode, you can see much of his beast mode coming through. It’s really quite fascinating.

And, thanks to his beast mode, his personality is much like an owl’s. He’s often quiet, never in the way. He exudes this...wisdom. Not necessarily scientific wisdom, but he is certainly one of the wisest people I have ever known. His prowess in battle is uncanny, as well. Perhaps you’ll soon get to see him in action.
