Subject: Matrix Reloaded opinions?

Probably spoilers will show up in this thread. Be warned!

I thought the second half of this film was great. However, I thought the film needed it's first 45 minutes completely recut and cut down. There was a lot of extraneous stuff in there that should have been removed, because it threatened to put me (at the least) to sleep. I mean, what was the point of the Neo-Trinity sex scene? I mean they and about 4 other characters outright said that the two were in love. There was no need to show it intimately.

Also, I think the fight scenes went on too long in some instances and in others they were not needed at all. At times, it seemed like the Brothers W thought "Hey! Everyone loved the fights in the first one. Why don't we just throw in a bunch more without trying to tie it to the story?". The battle with Seraph would be the prime example of this.

I'm still sort of looking forward to Revolutions, but I'm a little worried. Ah well... Time will tell. What did everyone else think?
