Author: Lialye
Subject: Chaos' remarkable ... er ... colouring is caught out of the corner of Lialye's eye. Alarmed, the aspiring healer looks over from where she is bent above Oricon and her eyes widen. /What in the world...?/ she thinks, making a quick reevaluation of his condition. He had looked before as if he was fine.... /Go figure,/ she thinks, /nothing can be as it seems at first. Curses./ Momentarily leaving Oricon's side, Lialye moves over to Chaos and feels for a pulse. A faint fluttering under her fingertips informs her that he is indeed still - barely - alive. The poison...? Couldn't hurt to be careful, even if it means her supply of antidote slowly dwindling. So, *sigh*, unstopping the bottle yet again, she pries Chaos' mouth open and gently pours several drops into his mouth. "Swallow," she murmurs, massaging his throat. "You'd better be able to, if you want to live..."
In reply to: Adwen 's message, "Adwen, floating gently the couple feet to shore, washes up on the beach. Her eyelids flutter once or twice, then she opens them. What had happened? She dimly remembers Oricon's cry for help, the sting of the poison, and the water closing over her head...she thought she'd heard Rustam's voice too, just before she'd blacked out completely...or had it all been an illusion? She tries to get up, but her muscles are still too weak from the poison, and she can barely turn her head. Looking out towards the ocean, she sees the limp forms of Rustam and another girl floating on the water. There appears to be no signs of life from either of them. Was her brother...? Had he saved her, only to be claimed by the monster? "Rustam..." she gasps. Her eyes close again and she fades out once more." on 19:43:56 12/17/03 Wed

  • Adwen drearily opens her eyes to find herself lying on dry sand and feeling rather the worse for the wear. "Urgh," she says, feeling quite disoriented. "Where am I?" Working herself up onto her elbows, she lifts her head and looks about, taking in the scene. Memory crashes down onto her, and she moans again and forces herself to sit up, feeling somewhat woozy. But the monster appears to be dead, at least for now. That was good. She sees Rustam lying unconscious a few feet away and scrambles over. "Rustam! Are you alright?" she asks desperately, thinking, /He's my little brother...don't let him die! He's got to be alright, he's got to!/ (NT) -- Adwen, 16:31:29 01/02/04 Fri
  • Rustam is somewhat pale, but is breathing fine. Hearing his sister's voice, he cracks open an eye. "Adwen?" he asks. Seeing his sister's frantic face above him, he opens both eyes blearily, scowls, and sits up, batting away her hands. "I'm fine, I'm fine, lemme alone! Stop it, Adwen, I'm fine, really... How are you feeling?" he asks, looking at her in concern. Well, she /seems/ to be alright, though she's quite a mess in wet clothes that have been now coated in sand, making her look rather like some scraggly-haired sand monster. He probably didn't look much different, though... "Good grief, I feel dizzy..." he says suddenly, laying back down with a /fwump/ and then staring blankly up at the blue sky.
