I’m very sorry, but we at IHOPE do not agree with the “Annual Ministerial Reports” request of UCMI nor with he tithing request to UCMI.

Every cent we raise, collect, or give ourselves goes to our mission in Africa or our other Christian causes such as adopting or helping children in war or poverty ravaged areas around the globe, or simply helping those in need in our own back yard. We try to do this quietly, without fan fair and when ever possible anonymously.

Our entire operating costs are paid for out of our own pockets. We do not seek tithings, yet somehow, Father always provides everything that is needed. The amounts that we sow into the ministry are between our Lord and ourselves, for we also believe in and follow:

Matthew 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

Matthew 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

As I recall, nothing we received from UCMI, including our charter, ordinations, courses, books, tests, even the printed certificates themselves were free; a charge was issued for each, and gladly paid.

God ordains, not man. We looked upon our association with UCMI as a place where like minded God loving people abided, where we could read, ask and answer questions posed by like minded people engaged in the Lords service. Not as a covering for the Lords ministry that we happen to be helping with (as if any ministry blessed by the Lord needed any other covering than His blessing.)

If this means our association with UCMI is to be at an end, than sadly, so be it.
