Lifting from crouched position as the slightly duller colored male approached, Mist could not still the flick of plume or wag of rump at his arrival. She did give a quick nip of his muzzle then she broke the cold reigns of position and nudged him kindly. “Too long. You have been missed old friend.” It was all she could offer him. The truth. That he was a friend no matter the time change, but a friend only this time. Things had changed, faded, re-grown since his departure, but even though all this had occurred she had missed him and was glad to welcome him home.
