If changing the starter doesn't cure it, it sounds more like a problem in the ignition / starter switch in the steering column, or wiring problems, (loose corroded conections), or poor battery post and earth contacts. Check the insides of the battery cable clamps are squeaky clean, use emery if necessary, als check the earth strap where it connects to the car body, and the earth strap from gearbox to chassis, all those earth connections can corrode, so clean them, and slosh some waxoil on them when reassembling.
