Subject: Summer league

Not too much to report. Slats did not play today, but is scheduled to play Tuesday at 6:30 and next Saturday, I think at 4:00.

I watched two games today and Mike Pilgrim played in one of them. He did not start and played about 40-45% of the game. His team did have a strong starting front court with Will Caudell, Danny Horace and Keith Jackson. Delonte Holland from Dayton also came off the bench and he was a strong player.

Pilgrim showed that he has the physical tools to play at the division I level, but he will have to improve his aggresiveness and skill level. He probably scored 5 or 6 points had a block or two and several rebounds, but was boxed out on a number of occasions by the smaller NKU players ( I mean much smaller 6'1"/6'2").

Seems like a nice kid that will take instruction, I just hope he is competitive enough.

I suspect that they scheduled Slats for a bye since some of the players have not come into town yet. I will not be there Tuesday so I hope someone will give some feedback if they see any of the recruits.
