Subject: Latest recruiting scenario's........

I've sent out e-mails to many people on this board and on the CUSA-talk board regarding inside info on recruiting. Many of you responded, but still others haven't and I'm waiting to hear from you. Here is what I've gathered so far and what most think will happen:

Between 2003 (1 schollie left) and 2004 (3 or 4 depending on using 1 in 2003) but a total of 4 left between both years.

Here are the general consensus recruits:
2004 Jamar Butler (already verballed)
2004 Matt Terwilliger
2003 Guy Ngardi (I thought he was 2004....need a clarification)
2004 Sani Ibrahim (JUCO transfer from College of Southern Idaho)

Most think that Butler and Ngardi are locks to be Bearcats (and Butler has verballed).
Terwilliger seems to be more wide open than he was last Summer.
Sani could go pro but like Whaley really needs some Division 1 seasoning. Some feel pretty confident that he will be a Bearcat......surprisingly.
One person told me not to rule out getting Norm Plummer at Brewster Academy playing with future Bearcat Mike Pilgrim.

I read stories about how Andy Kennedy was on a recruiting trip.....I wonder who else they're recruiting.

Some interesting scenarios are that we really are covered on guards for awhile if you consider Kirkland and White viable guard options. If you do, consider this:

2003-2004 guards:
Chadd Moore (so.)
Nick Williams (jr.)
Field Williams (sr.)
Tony Bobbitt (sr.)
Armein Kirkland (so.)
James White (so.)
Jamal Lucas (jr.)
John Meeker (jr.)

2004-2005
Chadd Moore (jr.)
Nick Williams (sr.)

James White (jr.)
Jamal Lucas (sr.)
John Meeker (sr.)
Jamar Butler (fr.)
We need to recruit some guards this season. Can you say Jamelle Cornley? Or the young rising stud at Akron St. Vincent?

I hope we get another big man. We need one badly to backup Whaley.
