Subject: The point being Femi would backup Whaley for at least 1 season
In reply to: Chatter 's message, "I don't feel like UC is "staked" in the frontcourt. Who do they have next year? Whaley, Flowers, K. Johnson, Maxiell, Hicks, Kirkland? One player over 6'9" is not enough. While other CUSA teams are consistently getting the 6'9 / 6'10" players, UC is not. Maxiell, Hicks, Johnson, Kirkland are all 6'7" or shorter. I don't consider them big men. We need another big man. Varem is only 6'5". I'd rather have Femi Ibikunle." on 16:26:20 11/08/02 Fri

I agree UC always seems to always be in a shortage of Trees ie tall players, but Im not sure Femi will realize that backing up a NBA first round pick in Whaley is a smart choice.Im not disagreeing but Im hearing Varem is priority #1 for the Cats
