Subject: And just who would that be?
In reply to: The Court Jester 's message, "But with Kirkland and White at the 3 position, do you need Pilgrim as much as you need some Center prospects?" on 12:47:54 11/16/02 Sat

It seems there are only two good 4/5 prospects out there right now ? Bass, who has already verbally promised John Brady that he will sign with LSU (hence Huggins bailing on him), and Femi Ibikunle, who is now being courted by all the big time programs that ended up being big losers in the fall signing period - North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, etc. The chances of Cincinnati signing Ibikunle with Whaley coming here next year are slim and none. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Pilgrim is a polished gem at this point, but he is very athletic, he seems to be a hard worker, and he has a huge upside. In two years he will be a big contributor to Cincinnati's program. In two years both Ibikunle and Whaley will probably be starting their second year in the NBA.

  • Plus, Whaley, Kareem, Max, and sometimes Hicks would anchor the post position pretty well. (NT) -- BJ, 11:27:46 11/18/02 Mon
