Subject: No Bass in Ohio

I dont think fighting over his final official visit with 2 other schools that are way behind UC in time spent recruiting Bass looks real good for UC's chances.Which is a shame he would make a unreal combo with Max and Hicks. But what High School kid have the Cats been successful with this year? Take all JC players and kick ass in 2003 add Brandon Bender and Jeff Varem to Whaley and Williams and that's a top 5 class not to mention ready to make a National title run in 2003

From Rivals (similar to today's articles in the local papers) :

"I'm supposed to be going to see UConn. But right now it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it.
Hopefully I can reschedule," Bass explained. "I have to take the SAT Saturday and I really can't miss that.
I'm going to talk to the coaches at Connecticut and see what we can work."

He's visited LSU and Miami already and will visit Univ. Southern Calif. on 10/18 and will take his last official
to one of Kentucky, Cincinnati or Mississippi State.

He really liked the social scene and atmosphere at Miami (read: women and weather!). He's been to the
hometown school (LSU) a bunch of times and likes the coaches.

Says he will take his time making a choice and is in no rush because, "this is a big decision for my future I'm
not going to do anything hasty."
