Subject: one pan dinner - very tasty

Hopefully you can see the picture, cos I certainly can't and my machine does have a tendancy to ignore my instructions from time to time. If you can see it, it's basically a couple of medium leeks, washed and cut into chunks, ditto a large carrot, handful of small potatoes that don't need peeling or scraping, as many small shallots or pickling onions as you want, peeled, and 2 thick pork steaks. Dry fry the steaks just to seal them, stick them in a large roasting pan with everything else, pour a generous glass of red wine (or cider if you prefer), drizzle large tablespoon of honey over, sprinkle some mustard powder over, give it a good shake to make sure everything has had some liquid over it, then stick it in the oven, 180 celsius, for about 45 mins, turning everything over half way through cooking. If you want an extra veg, then serve it with a green veg of some sort.

Gilly
