Ani that's absolutely wonderful!!! Fingers crossed that he gets better and better each day so that you can have him home.

We have enough wildlife without kangaroos and things like that thanks very much, and we will be able to see it so much better through the new windows as where before we had 3 windows and 6 panes of glass, we now have 2 big panes of glass and one opening window, and in the utility room where there were 2 opening windows and 4 panes of glass, there is just one large pane of glass and it opens much more easily, and they all lock when they are only open a few inches which means we don't have to worry about the wind catching them and blowing them open even more and because I can now reach the window catches I can open them and get some air into the untility without having to have the door wide open, so we can still get some air in when it's raining.

I was watching through the bedroom window the other day and saw a very small deer eating the crab apples that Sam next door had raked up under his tree. He'd done it for the deer and birds anyway so that he can see them from his window, or watch them from his little summer house that he has now had built halfway down the garden. The window lads have finished, they arrived at 8.00 and had finished by 10.00, had a last cup of coffee and a bun and then went. They have been absolutely superb, and the windows look really good. All we have to do now is thumbfill the cracks in the walls, which you always get with old properties, get Rachel's lad to do just that bit of work, decorate and then sell.

We hve various types of owls around here, and can often hear them talking to each other at night. We also have bats, don't always see them, but if you go out of the back door at the right time in the evening they are just coming out to play, I think they live in our roof, and probably some in Sam's as well, and we often hear the deer barking, which is a most peculiar sound. It used to worry Madam, but she seems to have got used to it now, but can still get skittish when the young cattle in the field at the end of the garden and just over the stream start making a lot of noise. The problem is that she can't see any of these things that make the strange noises, which is why I think she gets anxious.
