Jack get it X Rayed. I broke a toe and I can't wear certain shoes now either. Last week I stubbed my toe again making the bed and it's BLACK and really painful. Broken toes can cause huge problems. Check it out properly as even the nail on that toe now looks odd and doesn't grow propely. When I wear certain shoes the sole of my foot aches and I need to change. I take a wide fitting and find the New Balance runners fit really well. I think it will be another two weeks before the pain eventually goes . Luckily I can presently wear sandals that don't press on it.
