Apparently it did bring in lots of money Jack so that was good thing. As for having a kangaroo on our flag, that's fine as long as it's not green and gold. I love the wattle but find green and gold a bit drab for flag colours. I like the Aboriginal flag and come to think of it, if they stick a kangaroo or the southern cross on there that would be fine too. Then I suppose we will have a competition to see who comes up with the best design.
Qantas, hmm well if it doesn't pull it's socks up may be a relic as well as all the other airlines are cheaper and that seems to be what counts these days.
As for having two passports, I've always travelled to Europe on my British passport as you don't have to pay for visas. Travelling anywhere else has never been a problem either and I didn't see Jan getting any special treatment for having an Aussie one.
Don't worry Jack, we are paying for our representatives and their homes, perks and travel. No doubt at the end of the day it will add up to a pretty penny too .
I have also never heard of the Royal Family being called the English Royal Family. That's news to me. I just can't imagine England without the Royals. If nothing else they are very colourful.
The Canadians love their leafy flag and many young ones travelling the world sew a flag on their backpacks so that people will know that they aren't American. I wonder why lol?
I suppose it's safe enough on their backs as it's not blocking up the gutters. Speaking of which I have three huge trees up here. One is the biggest Poplar type tree I have seen. One enormous Magnolia tree and a huge Snow Gum which is the biggest nuisance of them all. Still it's autumn and the Poplar is losing all it's leaves now and the gum is just always messy. Ah the joys of country living.
