Doesn't she just! According to the AA route finder, it's about 250 miles, and 4hrs 51 minutes to drive, but that's on clear roads and without stopping. It took us 6 hrs when we drove there a few years ago, but we stopped off for lunch, and stopped a couple of times for doglet to stretch her legs and have a bit of a run-around and a pee, and even without Madam in the car I think it would still take us about the same lenght of time as we don't drive for more than 2 hrs without stretching our legs and having a coffee break. When we went down to South Wales 3 years ago we took the scenic route to avoid the motorways, and it took us longer than it needed because we stopped off for coffee, and then pulled into a layby with picnic tables and spectacular views for a picnic lunch, and then stopped again because there was a little pull in by a bridge over a river and again spectacular views, we don't like to be tied to a timetable when we go away on holiday.
