Malays of the region now known as the Philippines are noted seafarers and could reach to far away places with their flimsy boats but exceptional seamanship. If some of them stayed in China for generations; Are they Chinese or Malays? The Chinese Hans or other tribe are not classified as to how they look, but as to how they speak and act(culture). So do not be surprised to see a lot of Malay looking people in China and vice-versa. If europeans cuold only have stayed in europe Asian civilisations could have prospered continously.
