(The medic informed Skeeter that the virus was something that was transferred by a source of water and was not contagious. The only way to get it was through direct contact with the contaminated source, oral ingestion of the virus, and that it was so rare that it required investigation immediately. As he stood there listening to this, he realized what was going on and that same cold sensation of panic welled inside him as he looked over at Skeeter.. he knew his friend would understand the seriousness of the situation now. He pulled out his cellphone and immediately called up his home number.. he had to tell Shay to stay away from all sources of water.) Skeeter, send a team to my apartment immediately, we need all water samples tested and Shay and Chase need to be brought in safely.. (His voice was even as he said it though his eyes were panicked as he waited for Shay to pick up the phone.) (He watched the two of them, wondering where Haylie had gone, and why no one had bothered saying anything about her. He opened his mouth to try and talk, but his mouth was dry and his voice was hoarse and all that happened was that he croaked a little and sighed. He was getting a bit pissed off at the inability to communicate with anyone, his expression insolent like a child's.)

        She had really thought that she could handle this - his career and all that. She thought she could be the cool, in control woman who could handle her husband being in danger and her friends nearly dying every other freaking day but now that it was actually happening she was having some second thoughts. At her husbands words, she just nodded, looking down at their son in her arms for a second. How was he going to live when he was older? Constantly wondering if Daddy, Uncle Kyrian or Aunt Haylie were going to be coming home. A low breath escaped her as she just nodded and stepped into the room, telling the agents where to put Chase's things before she offered a slight smile to Remy, though it obviously wasn't heartfelt, before she turned to head into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.
