Subject: Ellie here!

Hi Gals. Slow again. Thank you for your thoughts re my daughter. Yes, she's out of hospital and doing fine. They didn't work out what it was, but she seems all recovered now. I was up at her place on Mothers Day, it was a big gathering, 18 adults, mainly my son-in-law David's family but some of 'our'side too, plus our 2 beautiful baby girls, Jemillah, 8 months, and Matilda, 4 months. Everyone brought food to share so there was heaps to eat.
Phyliss, I'm sorry I didn't catch up re your rain disaster, hope things are improving now. Here it's a different story, we really NEED the rain, but the days continue cold but fine.I also hope Rufus gets some help for his 'itch' it hurts to see animals distressed.
Tina, I am constantly amazed at how much you do, you are something of a wonder woman!
I'll finish with a bit of fun. Yesterday at our Wed morning writing group we all took along our teddy bears! It all started a a few weeks ago when Rudy one of our members brought in a small yellow teddy that had been on a 5 month round Australia trip with Rudy and his wife Shirley. Teddy got dramtically lost in the wilds of outback Australia, but was found again. When we all finished laughing I suggested we ALL bring our teddies in the next week, and Lauren our writing tutor said Okay, but we all had to write a teddy bear story/poem as well.
If you didn't have a teddy bear you could bring in another loved soft toy, but nearly everyone in the group brought in a teddy bear, and we sat them all up on the tables then read out our work. Well, they do say that keeping in touch with 'the child within" helps to keep you young!
Thoughts to all,
Ellie.

Oh how I can understand your daughters delima..I was in so much pain in my belly, Doctor scheduled me for an ultra sound -next Wednesday they said was nearest opening-yesterday I had so much pain I went to hospital outpatients..after hours of tests they said all they could find was a kidney, bladder, urine infection..gave me antibiotics, today I am feeling a lot better, far from perfect but better! You Mothers day sounded great and love the teddy bear idea..When I visit the nursing home it is surprising how many residents hold their teddies in a strong embrace. When I was little the only teddy I had was about 5 inches high and stuffed with straw but I loved him..I have 2 teddies now..I keep a few teddies always so if any kids lose their home to fire or other means I always give some teddies.
I hope phyllis is getting cleared up from her mess but I think they, like we, are having a lot of damp weather and in her case that won't help any.All the best to you..and yours. P S. One good thing about yesterdays tests:They said for now I am extremely lucky..no cancer signs which is a minor mericle considering I had 18 cancerous mests along with 2 grapefruit size cancerous tumors covering my overies 2 and 1/2 years ago and was given 7 months to 2 yrs at most to live.Someones prayers must have worked!
