Subject: Re Cats and,,,

Hi. Tina, my cats are Grania, dark smoky grey, and Feller, a ginger boy. And no, they don't like each other.. that is Grania..(strong willed female) whom I had for about a year before Feller has never accepted him. At best they tolerate each other, at worst have slapping matches. He's very gentle, never bites or scratches, but she always starts it,
At it's winter here, and very cold.. they stay inside most of the time now curled up asleep in best cat fashion!
They don't worry at all about trying to get the goldfish. I've had fish for a long time and the cats just seem to accept them as part of the family.
More rain for you.. not much here for us. Hope you are feeling better now Tina. And I hope you enjoyed the visit from your sister Phyliss.
Yesterday I went with my daughter, Pam, to Lunchtime Theatre. This is an annual winter only event in the city. You get the play, and a lunch of soup and bread for $10. The play was a romantic comedy/drama with just 2 actors in it and it was very good.
Afterwards we went to this exclusive chocolate shop and each had a cup of beautiful hot chocolate. It was the BEST. They don't use choc powder or cocoa, just pure Belgian chocolate. A real treat.
Happy wishes to all.
Ellie.

Ellie, Belgain chocolate, it is only 6:30 am here and you have me drooling already! Lunchtime theatre..what a nice idea.
Hate to mention the weather but we haven't had a whole sunny day here in a week or more, some sun in the afternoons but I think even the ducks are getting tired of it. They are sitting scrunched up, you can't see their feet, but they do hang around the pond waiting for the cracked corn.I don't know if a lot of nests were washed out by all the rain "stupid ducks" build their nests too near brooks and marshes and when they flood , away goes the nest.Anyway there are way less baby ducks than it has been for years and I saw in the local paper others have noticed this in their area. Also more foxes are being seen and they love duck eggs and ducks.
I hope Phyllis is getting better weather than this so her basement dries up.I don't have a basement but used to wish that I did..I think now withour strange weather I am glad not to have one.
Ellie I can just picture your cats..they must be fun!
Ladies have a good week end ! Bye for now
