Subject: hodgepodge

I have no idea what I am about to say so I titled it hodgepodge.Do any of you have a meal that you call hodgepodge..we do in this area..it is made up of any and every vegetable you have on hand to make a soup and then after it is cooked add ,cream, blend or milk to your liking.
Real different summer for me but not going too badly, sure miss not swimming but enjoy visiting all the old summer friends at the lake, Saturday is the yearly "Christmas in July"party at a lake neighbors..then Sunday my family is having a birthday party for my husband at the lake.
I did not get to any "live"theatre yet this summer, not supposed to go in crouds where germs are more rampant because of the chemo. They even closed some of the nursing homes to visitors because of a stomache flu in the area.
Supposed to get 40 mm of rain today which is a lot.The farmers are having a hard time trying to make hay and the strawberry crops are ending early and veggies will be expensive as can be this fall because they are rotting in the ground from all the rain. But all the trees and flowers are so lush looking from the rain, I suppose all things have their turn.
Hope everyone is having a great summer/winter as the case may be-lol
best wishes ladies!
