Subject: Oh Nooooo!

Phyliss I spent some time this afternoon putting in recipes for you, and it looks as though they didn't go through!
Will try with one now and see if it goes.
Rissoles and salad.
(Salad of your choice, lettuce, tomato, or whatever else you like to use in a salad)
Rissoles.
175 grams lean beef mince.
1/2 small onion
100 grams red kidney beans (canned)
1 tablespoon rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
2 teaspooons soy sauce.
2 teaspoons of chilli or tomato sauce
1 egg.
1/2 teaspoon dried herbs.
One tablespoon of oil or oil spray to cook rissoles.

Drain, rinse and mash the kidney beans till they become a paste, they are a lot easier to mash if you add a tablesppon of water.
Oops, forgot to add one small carrot in the list.Okay. grate that carrot.
Now, combine all ingredients in a large bowl.Mix well.Shape into small patties. The rissoles hold their shape better if you have time to chill them in the fridge for an hour or so before cooking.
Heat oil in frypan and cook rissoles, turning once till they are cooked through. Before serving top with cheese and allow to melt.
Serve with salad and a bread roll.
Also forgot to say finely dice onion before adding. and of course leave out seasonings you don't like or that don't agree with you.

recipe sounds good, I will try it at a later date after I am over my chemo..for some reason meat does not want to digest for me right now.
Yesterday was first day of Autumn or fall , whichever you want to call it.We have been having summer weather and its is great.
I have been so busy but not busy doing work, just visiting or running around with friends, when the roads get bad all that will come to an end so I am having fun while I can.
Last MOnday I volunteered at the local nursing home for the elderly, helped the ones play bingo, ones that like the game but can't move their markers because of arthritis.
So many are there because they have no one to look after them but are not really ill. Those who are helpless need to be there but it is sad to see the ones who are there before they really need to be.
Not much news but hope all is going well with you.
