Oh Ellie I can picture the poor kitty thinking "why don't they come for me?" "just for that I will eat all their mice,that will teach them!"
I have been putting food out for a very small cat,not a kitten, that is living in our garage which has a small attic, no one can get near this fierce little creature, we did find out how she gets in the building,she climbs a tree and walks over the roof,hangs over the side to get into a small air shaft window that she must have torn the screen out of.We still can't figure out how she gets from the small shaft to the roof when she sneaks out for food but once inside the building she can enjoy the big picture window and lots of space and most likely a few mice.This used to be my husbands fish packing building and garage when he packed fish for on his truck before selling fish in another town daily for some years after he retired from the union.The cat can boast of having her/his own building with only the interferance of 2 cars being parked inside from time to time-lol. I don't put food in the building I put it in a dish on my house patio but she will only sneak up for it if no human is around. She can go as fast as a lightening bolt if she sees a human.Hopefully it is he because I don't want to find kittens around,I have a humane
wild trap I tried to catch the kitty in so I could have it spay if it is a female but she is too smart to get caught.
