Subject: Ellie and Phyllis & hopefully old friends

Ellie what a wonderful trip for you and your daughter and such a reward at the end to see your new grandson and family.Bet the thoughts of those hugs you received will warm you for a long time.Love the name of your grandson.
I never had an experience like you and Phyllis at an airport but at customs after crossing from usa to nova scotia on the prince of fundy when we came ashore we were searched and since it is a car ferry the car was searched also and cleared but we will never know what happened to an old couple next to us,even the wheels were taken off their car.
My scan showed that the lump in my pancreas has grown a bit-we knew it was there for 2 years now but the doctors thought it was a cyst-there are only 2 doctors in Nova Scotia who know how to scope a pancrease and my doctor is trying to get me an appointment with one of them to determine if it is cancer or a cyst and if it is in an operatable part of the pancreas. I imagine it will be a while until I get an appointment with one of the specialists.I am feeling fit as a fiddle but with cancer that doesn't always mean anything.
Phylllis I hope the dog vets are not as expensive there as they are here and I hope your dog will be fine.
All the best to everyone..oh yes spring is finally acting a bit like it should-Phyllis I suppose you have green grass by now..the only green showing here yet is the hostas and all lily type plants are peeking their noses through the ground.
4 members of my family spent a day cleaning "raking up my yard" I am so glad it is all neat and tidy-this was a hard winter and I had more limbs and stuff than in all the years I lived here.Oh well all is so nice now.

Dear Tina,

I know how tough it is to wait for test results when a specialist can't see you right away. I am sorry that you have to wait so long. You are always in my thoughts and prayers and I continue to light candles from time to time at church and pray for your good health.

I have plenty of leaves in my back yard and have not been motivated to rake them. How nice that some of your family
helped out with the yard work.

My daughter is doing well and she now has to go to the OBGYN doctor every week to be monitored. Her due date is June 7th.

Her shower is going to be on May 15 at a local restaurant as it is going to be a large one. We expect between 40 to 45 people. Some are relatives and friends and 3 women from our dental office (they asked to be invited to her shower as they like her so well). Nancy's daughter is doing the decorations and assisting by helping with the presents and writing them in a memory book. The restaurant has rules on decorations because they want to protect the walls. We were told that the table and guest chair can be decorated but no tape is allowed on the walls. Fortunately ballons and streamers are permitted. We plan to have flowers on each table and each place setting will have a baby shower favor.

Ellie, you must still be thinking of your wonderful visit with your son, wife and beautiful grandson. As a grandmother myself whose granddaughters live far away I know how precious memories of my visits to them are.

Best wishes to any other readers and we all wish you would drop us a line to let us know how you are doing.

Phyllis

Hello..it's to be another perfect Autumn day here today, sunshine and blue skies. This morning I had the delight of watching five hotair balloons floating serenely across the sky, they have a landing/take off ground somewhere near here. There were 2 yellow, one red/white and blue, one blue and white and a green one shaped like a frog!
I imagine the people up their in those baskets enjoying a birds eye view of the trees and houses below. Don't know if I would be game enough to go up in one tho!
Tina, I hope your waiting time isn't going to be too nerve wracking and my thoughts are with you. Phyliss, the preparations for your daughters baby shower sound great.
Did I mentione there will be ANOTHER baby in the family in August? This is my grandaughters first baby. Hey, gals I'm not THAT old, but it does seem weird thinking about being a GREAT grandmother! That will be 2 new babies within a year, as Alexander will be 9 months old, when the new little one arrives. Excuse me now while I look in the mirror for new wrinkles!!!
Ellie.
