Subject: Happy Mothers Day

It's Mothers Day here in Australia, and know it's the same date in Canada as my brother told me, but not sure of theUSA? Anyway, all you dear Moms and Grandmas of people and pets great and small have a lovely day.
I went out with the family for dinner last night at Ryan's, which is an Irish restaurant, there were 14 of us, my family, and my daughter in law Sinead's family who drove down from a country town, and we all had a great meal and enjoyed time together. This afternoon my son Darren,the one who lives 700 miles away in Sydney rang me, and I spoke to his wife Jen too. They were at her Mom's place.

Hi Ellie,

Yes we celebrated Mother's day on the same day as you and Canada did.

It was nice that so many of you could celebrate together at a nice restaurant.

My daughter took me to breakfast on Saturday morning as she wanted to do so on Sunday, but I was planning on attending church. My sister, daughter and another friend celebrated at an Italian restaurant on Mother's day. My daughter is looking forward to becoming a mother. Her due date is June 7th. We are having a large shower this Sunday for her.

We also celebrated with my daughter's mother-in-law last night at my daughter's home. Her husband had a cook out for us. Some of his sister's and their children attended and his brother also. It was nice and warm out and the food was good.
