Subject: confusion-total confusion

Last wednesday-I go to the city to have my cat scan on my pancreas-have appointment for it ordered by cancer specialist.I go to 4th floor like I was told-they look at me like I have 2 heads-go to next desk-they too look at me like I have 2 heads"found out later all they had to do was enter my name in any of the hospitals computers and it would have told them exactly where I was to be.then someone told me to go to 3rd floor-got that 2 head look again..for Petes' sake doesn't anyone know where the cancer cat scan dept is?I decide to go to the main floor and at this point realize my letter has wrong instructions.I stop at a desk on the main floor-nice lady puts my name in the computer and knows in seconds exactly where I am to go.Finally get my cat scan-supposed to get the results in 2 weeks "this is for the lump in my pancreas that has been there 2 years and to see if it grew any since spring-can't tell if it is tumor or cyst and they don't want to operate unless it gets to life and death matter-dangerous area"
Well I finally get a message through to my daughter via phone what floor I am on"she went shopping and was expecting to find me on the 4th floor cancer area" then we went for lunch and since it was such a beautiful day and only about noon we went for a 3 hour drive along the coast and played tourist in our own privince-lol stopped at tourists shops-enjoyed looking but thankfully didn't see anything we wanted to spend money on-lol

Sorry that you had such a time trying to find out where you were supposed to go for your CAT scan. I know that our local hospital has expanded and it is difficult to find one's way around. Also they are building a large parking garage and parking now is limited. They do have some valet services to make up for the shortage of parking.

I am glad that your daughter and you were able to spend time together and especially enjoying the scenery along the coast as well as each others company.

I will be thinking of you and praying that everything will be fine.

Thanks for taking the time to write on this chat.

Have a good week.

Tina.. looks like a typical case there of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing! Hospitals can be totally confusing.. in a funny way it reminded me of when I got lost in the Museum a few years back. That was totally surreal. I couldnt even SEE any other people.. I ended up in the basement.. and in the Museum kitchen(all empty) it was like I'd been time warped somewhere else!
It was so nice that you had the rest of the day with your daughter tho.
Ellie.
