Subject: what a day!

Got home 15 minutes ago-told you this morning we were going to number 4 sons for another turkey dinner-man I am stuffed!Had a wonderful day with lots of goodies to eat and fun chatting away-reminicing about old times, the fun the kids had growing up etc.Son has a hugh beautiful house so lots of room for everyone but mostly we sat and chatted about things. It was all so enjoyable.Their girls are 19 and 21..beautiful girls-one a hairdresser the other in house and construction drafting. The girls are not married yet. All my grandchildren are slow on the boyfriend/marriage bit so I have no great-grandchildren.Actually I am glad they are not getting married too young.
Hope you all are having a great week-bye for now!!

Hi Tina,

I enjoy your updates so very much. I forgot that Canada celebrates their Thanksgiving in October. My mouth was watering by the time I finished reading your descriptions of delicious meals. I am glad that your family is nearby.

As far as your grandchildren waiting to chose their mates/boyfriends, I think it is a good idea. There was an article in newspaper regarding New Englanders waiting to get married. The age for men was 27.2 and for women 25.7.

I do not know if you heard that the southwest part of New Hampshire near the Vermont line had severe flooding.
Rescue crews searched two rivers for missing people. New Hampshire has been declared a disaster area and our governor is seeking federal help. It came on so suddenly due to all the heavy rain and several people lost their lives. From the pictures on t.v. it was so bad, roads were destroyed and bridges gave way. It will take a very long time to repair all the damage. I can't remember this happening in New Hampshire from flooding this bad.

I did not intend to write all this in this posting but thought I would let you know what was going on in our state.

Today we have not had any rain, thank goodness.

I am looking forward to our Thanksgiving celebrate next month. I will be having my family here that live nearby.

Please keep in touch. Hello to Ellie, Donna, Margaret and any other readers.

Phyllis
