Eight years ago on our way to Cape Cod-drove through only part of your fair state..My youngest daughter and I went across on the Prince of Fundy..had my little red cheve car then..we travelled as near to the coast as we could but spend a little inland time in New Hempshire.Sadly all the places are sort of run together in my mind scenery wise but I do remember we found a restaurant somewheres near a place I think called Vaughn..had the best chinese food I had eaten for years and I am not sure but it may have been in your state we came across the nicest little animal park..lots of deer..the small breed that we don't have here..ours are almost twice as large..we made the mistake of travelling through Boston on the way to Cape cod-traffic nightmare but we came back a different route. All the way down the coast it was so beautiful..It was the first weeks of June that we travelled..a perfect time for that trip.
My only other travel in the USA was spending 3 weeks in Orlando..we took in a different tourist experience every blessed day..it was terrific.
On our first trip driving down the coast we spent a couple days on old orchard beach-Maine- every lodging was almost half price..bet the tourist season by 1 week..how lucky can one get?lol..we are known for good fish and chips but have to admit -down at the docks in Plymouth..by the Mayflower replica there was a restaurant that sold better that I have ever eaten here.I was looking at my pics of Plymouth wax museum the other day..beautifully presented museum. But now I do wish we would have stayed and explored New Hempshire more before moving on.Everyone we met all along the way was so helpful and nice.

Hi Tina,

I have never been to Nova Scotia but hear it is beautiful. I do not like to travel any great distance by car, rather fly to get to my destination. The traffic in Boston is terrible and Massachusetts drivers have a reputation when it comes to driving. (At least when we were younger we were told this). When you get in the wrong lane or are lost in Massachusetts, it is hard to correct that. Cape Cod
is a lovely place especially in the summertime. Funny you should mention Old Orchard beach as when I was growing up we spend two weeks there each summer. My father's relatives had cabins that they rented out and we got a good deal on them. I use to love the all the amusements and the awesome french fries. Such wonderful memories with my family at the seashore. I usually go to York Beach in Maine now with friends during the summertime for the day only, as my golden retriever is 11 l/2 years old and I ask my daughter and her husband to look on him for the day. Luckily that are taking him to their house when I leave for Florida in January. They have done this for me for the last 2 years on my Florida trips. I really love seafood, Fish & Chips & scallops are among my favorite. We have a great restaurant here in our city that broils the scallops with breading and it is wonderful. We have so many restaurants ranging from Italian, Greek, Chinese, Steakhouse and many, many pizza places.

Do you get the Woman's World, The Woman's weekly magazine in your area? It is a favorite of mine as it has very good articles in it.

Nice to chat with you.

Take care

Hi Tina,

You are right that magazine is great! This week has some good articles as well as recipes.

I am going to my old office to have lunch with one of my friends (we had lunchs and breaks together for 17 l/2 years.) She will be retiring next year and lives about 18 miles from me. I made stuffed peppers and am bringing her some for lunch as when I called her she did not bring her lunch today.

We are expecting another snowstorm on Sunday night into Monday. On well the plow people and skiers are happy!

Take care.
