Subject: Hi All

I'm still around girls, just been a bit busy with the changeover with the new business, but we are getting there. What used to take 10 minutes is now taking 30, as I'm getting familar with their computer system. Have been working a bit of overtime but should settle down in the next month or so. It's been going well and we are happy being part of a bigger company. It's been a good change for us.

Well Tina, I read your message about the weather and your blizzards. I hope it is settling down now. I just can't imagine not being able to take the dogs outside for a pee, without having to dig an area for them. It's been the opposite here, last weekend the thermometer on the back porch hit 50C. The hottest I can remember and it was just scorching. I had the clothes out on the line and they dried to a crisp in about 15 minutes. The back door handle was boiling as well. Yesterday and today are in the mid 20s and just lovely, we even had a bit of rain last night.
Our son is coming home today for a couple of days with us, so looking forward to catching up with him. He's on annual leave at the moment and trying to get his roomed cleaned and tidied up for him.
He's been offered a contract in a London Hospital (originally he wanted to be out of London, but now he's realised a number of people he knows are in London itself and wants to go there). How the young change their minds so quickly (lol). The contract he's been offered is for
Emergency and Thoracic nursing, both of which he's done in Adelaide and loves. He'll probably be off over there in a couple of months. He's just waiting for his overseas registration to come through and then he will be off.
Our nephew is overseas as well (my sister's boy) and he's living and working in Brighton at the moment and loves the area.
Take care all and hope the weather settles down soon.

Hi Susan,

Glad to hear that you are becoming familar with your new computer system. Change is always challenging in the beginning but as we continue to learn new systems it becomes easier. It sounds like it was the right decision to join a bigger company.

You must be so looking forward to seeing your son and getting to spend some time with him. It is great that he has found a career that he really enjoys. You must be so proud of him. You are so right that the young change their minds so quickly. I'm sure that he will do fine and it is important to be near people his own age.

Sorry to hear that you are having some hot weather. We are in the middle of winter and I prefer the cooler weather as the heat here in the summer time is sometimes unbearable even with an air conditioner.

We are going out after church tomorrow to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. She has picked out an Italian restaurant which I have not been to before. It is about l/2 hour drive from here.

Hope you have better weather.

Take care.

Hi Susan.. Good to hear the new business 'melding' is progressing well! Yes, the heat was pretty dreadful even here in Melb.. which doesnt get quite as hot as SA.
What a thrill for Lee to be going to work in a London hospital, it;s great that he has done so well, tho I know you will miss him very much.
Still these days with email it is so quick and easy to contact people overseas and that is a big comfort.
Ellie.
