Subject: just to say Hi!

Last night on the news they said some parts of Australia were in for some terrible wind storms..some already had them plus floods..hope all of you are out of the storm line..also heard someplace has to do major koala bear euthenasia..is the food scarce or just too many of them?
We are getting a few signs of spring..sun is higher in the sky and tomorrow for the first time in months the temp is supposed to be above zero.snow in my yard has melted down to about 1 and 1/2 feet..or a little over 1/3 metre..you can see ground where the driveway was plowed..we usually get 1 or 2 big snowstorms in March,,hope not this year..love snow but getting a bit tired of it this year..want to go swimming-lol..
Had my last chemo last week..the effects were horrid for a few days and I am sort of tired but looking forward to Spring..I will have to go for check-ups every 2 to 3 months..most ovarian cancer folks have the cancer show up again later on..I won't dwell on it..will do as many fun things as I can each day along with anything good I can find to do..like enjoy my family and pets..I have returned to doing some oil paintings.
Well, my friends lets me know how things are going in Aust.by now you must know I am fascinated with your country.

Hi Tina,

Glad to hear that you are feeling better and that you completed your last chemo. I remember you each night in my prayers and also on Sunday when I attend church and say prayers for family and friends.

I also heard about the terrible floods in some parts of Australia. I saw pictures of the devastation it caused. I hope everyone is safe. I did not hear about the koala bears but since I am an animal lover I am sad to hear about possible euthenasia. I often watch the animal channel hear in USA and continue to learn about many different animals and their habits and enviroment.

We have been having spring like weather for the last couple of weeks. We are expecting a snowstorm on Sunday night through Monday morning. I'm sure that we will get a couple of more good ones before winter is over, but at least we are into March.

It is good that you are doing some oil paintings, I used to do them when I was a teenager but had not done any for many years.

Take care and good to hear from you.

Also hello to all "Coffee Chat" members. I enjoy hearing about your family and country.

Phyllis

Hi Tina, so glad your Chemo has finished and hopefully all will be well with you. I know I too have had you in my prayers and thinking of you.
Hopefully, the weather will warm up a bit for you and your garden will be back to its lovely bloom.
What subjects do you do with your oil painting? Scenery or people?
There has been some wild and wet weather in the top of Western Australia this last week. Floods etc and loss of livestock. I believe that Queensland (top east) of Australia is not "battening down the hatches" with strong
winds and heavy rain expected.
Us here? Still high 30C and not a drop of rain. Nice if it could even out a bit (lol). So, it's supposed to be Autumn now but still having Summer temperatures.
I haven't heard about the culling of Koalas for a while. I know it was talked about in Kangaroo Island (off the coast of South Australia) but they re-populated a lot to the mainland. I do know that there is a virus sweeping through the Koala population and affecting their eyes. I'll keep my ear to the ground if I hear anything?
