Tina and Phyliss... the new grandchild will be living 700 miles from me. The other 3 are close by tho. Tina, great to hear of the 'sale' again, look forward to hearing news of it each year.. It's wonderful that you are feeling well enough to help again this year.I don't know about the toys being lighter than books LOL! Some kids toys are Heavy.. trikes and cars and things.
Well, if your Spring is late, so is our Autumn. The days are cold, but the trees are still mainly green, not much leaf color at all yet. I do love to see the reds.golds, wines of the Autumn leaves!
Hope everyone had a good Mothers Day.. Mums of humans, and of 'furries'. I went for afternoon tea with my daughter, son-inlaw, his Mum, and younger brother.. we went to Fairfield park Boat house, which is an old boathouse/cafe overlooking the river. We got a table where we could see right over the river, and so many ducks. One white one made us laugh.. he had the loudest QUACK! We had big scones, with rapsberry jam, lots of thick cream and pots of tea. Lovely!
My 3 sons were also in touch.. so that was great.
Ellie.

Hi Ellie,

700 miles is quite the distance. Will you be able to travel once the baby arrives for a visit in person? Would you fly?

I do not like to travel by car for any really long ride. 2-3 hours is enough for me. I rather fly.

Your afternoon tea sounded delightful. The food must have been delicious.

I had a nice Mother's day too. I went to church, then to dinner with my daughter, sister, and friend. We went to an Italian restaurant and had a great time.

Both my sons' called and my oldest son (one in Florida) sent a dozen red roses which arrived on Saturday in a lovely crystal vase.

Yesterday I took Rufus (my golden retriever)for a summer haircut and bath. He looks so different as all his curls are gone, but I know that he will be much cooler. One of our neighbors did not recognize him on our daily walk. She thought I was walking a friend's dog.

It is a beautiful day here in New Hampshire. Temperature is in the 60's with a light breeze. Not too humid today, but tomorrow & weekend will be in the high 80's and humid.

Wishing all chat readers a good weekend.

Phyllis
