Subject: Hello!

Hello Tina and Phyliss. Sorry I'm late again. I've been away. We had our annual writing conference in Benalla, up country, about 2 hours drive from here, that was Fri,Sat and Sunday of this past week. We stayed at a place called Trekkers Rest, clean and comfortable, did lots of writing exercises, sat out and enjoyed the big lawns/gardens in the sunshine, and just enjoyed it all. Tuesday I was back at work, and yesterday met my daughter for lunch, she does vol work on Wednesdays at her local op shop, so I travelled up there on the train(s) takes about an hour and a half each way.
Tina, how is Raslton now? And you? Lots of spring cleaning going on t your house. even though it's not your Spring! I hope you are feeling less tired. Are you able to go out yet?
Phyliss. Hello. Hope all is well with you.
A laugh. I was out yesterday, and when I got home and opened the front door I was face to face with a huge tiger!!
My house share person had also gone out and bought a very big wall hanging of some velvety material of this enormous tiger on a black background. He'd put it on the living room wall. You can see directly in there up the hall when you open the front door.
My cats don't seem at all worried by their big cousin!
Have a g0ood week, ladies.
hugs. Ellie.

Ellie I love the tiger story,Glad you have been so busy with your writing group. I am actually going with our art group this morning, just for 2 hours,my first outing except to visit Ralston and a 4 hour session 2 days ago at another hospital, my bowels got bogged up,pain was so great they had to give me 4 shots of morphine, well after a few enemas all worked out fine.
Ralston is improving but is expected to be in hospital for a while yet, he still cannot walk unless 2 people are assisting him.
Well, I am so pleased, the girls and Cynthias man Bobby have 3 rooms painted, ceilings, walls. My room mauve and white, bathroom peachy , Ralstons room soft green and the laundry room ceiling is re-painted.I am overjoyed that all that is done. When we replaced the furniture, nic knacks, etc in the rooms I decided I could certainly survive without a lot of it-the extras were sent to the church yard sale which is this week-end.Hurrah !
So glad you could meet up with your daughter, I love train rides.
Phyllis I was so thankful that Kyle the hurricain missed us except for a bit of high winds that blew down lots of leaves we were left unscathed. I hope Kyle missed you as well. I watched the american news and didn't see any harm your way.
They should be along any minute to pick me up for going painting. Have a great week and week-end ladies.

Hi Ellie & Tina,

Sounds like the wall tiger hanging will be a conversational piece especially for anyone who is caught off guard when visiting.

So nice that you were able to visit with your daughter. I always enjoyed train rides. When I was growing up I use to ride the train to Boston as my mother's relatives lived there. It was fun and such a different atmosphere from our then quite town. People used to peddle their fruits in large wagons early in the mornings. Such great memories of happy childhood adventures.

I admire your postings as well as Tina. You both are excellent writers,I on the other hand lack this talent. My youngest sister is so good at expressing herself in anything that she writes. She is always willing to help me out whenever I need to compose a business letter or other important document. I reward her by cooking a couple of her favorite dishes. Cooking is not one of her favorite chores. Her husband cooks one night a week now that they are both retired. They retired young, in their middle fifties.

Tina, I am glad that your husband is improving and that they are still keeping him in the hospital so he can regain his strength. Your house makeover with such lovely colors sounds great. You have a wonderful caring family.
Sorry that you were in such pain but glad that you are all straightened out now.

I am watching my granddaughters on Saturday as my daughter and her husband are going to a wedding. My daughter's husband is an usher. They are having an outdoor wedding.
I am sitting all day tomorrow (Friday, my regular day) and may stay into the evening for a while to help out as my daughter's husband will be gone for a rehearsal dinner.

Fall weather is definitely in the air. The temperature is cooling off and the wind is blowing. We have had a lot of rain.

I hope you both have a good week.

Phyllis
